Random thoughts

Ok, so I need to get back into writing things here on my Blog. I think what I 'll do is just write some of my random thoughts throughout the day on Mon-Fri. I have a hard time writing on the weekends with the kids and family, etc..

So the first thing that pops into my mind is we are now a dogless family. About two weeks ago we found a new home four our two dogs. We had them both since they were puppies. Gunther, the golden lab retriever, is 7 years old while Dodger, the husky/shepherd mix, is 5. With both my wife and I working 40+ hours, a 5 year old and am 16 month old we just didn't have the time to pay them the attention they deserve.

Since they were getting bored, they were getting into trouble. Jumping the fence, digging holes and ripping the siding off the house toi the point you could see the bathtub from the outside! My father-in-law did a great job patching up that last problem, but that incident was kind of the ultimate eye-opener.

We found them a great home with a friend of a friend. The dogs are being thoroughly spoiled at last report. Apparently they get eggs for breakfast every morning...lol. The family pays much more attention to them that we could & the dogs seem pretty happy. It was a sad day for our house...especially when the 5-year-old came outside to say good-bye to the dogs and made my wife cry by saying, in his best pouty voice, "but mom, I love them."
