DELETE BOGUS VERIZON ONLINE E-MAIL IMMEDIATELY
D/FW Airport, Texas (April 21, 2004) -- Employees should be wary of a new scam e-mail that's circulating. The e-mail sender claims to represent "Verizon Account Specialist Services" and asks recipients to update their Verizon Online billing information to avoid a processing fee.
The e-mail contains a "click here" link that directs recipients to a fake Verizon look-alike site to complete a form.
This message is a scam, and is not from an authorized Verizon entity.
Action is being taken by Verizon to promptly deal with the issue.
If you receive the bogus e-mail:
Don't reply to the e-mail.
Delete the message immediately.
