What is the moral of this story? A fair worker get fired (for smoking an illegal substance), strips down to just a tank top (no pants or underwear), gropes some women, runs from police and gets hit by a train. Unfortunately, he survived!

We've had a modern day record 50 straight days of 70 degrees or better this year...and it looks like were in for at least another week or so of this beutiful sunshine. The Raiders, a team that took itself out of a Superbowl by having a major player disctraction the day of the game, haven't learned from history. Every team needs solid backup players and now the raiders are causing their own backups to go on the injured list! Bill Romanowski, for as good of a player as he has been in his career, will always be remembered as a steroid taking, angry man who never had his head on straight.

Cy Young award winners are not MVP's! While the MVP award should go to the player who means the most to his team (IE: a winning team), the Cy Young is just supposed to go to the most dominating pitcher of the season. That's why this article hits the mark. Eric Gagne of the Dodgers should be this years Cy Young award winner. There has NEVER been a more dominating closer than he has been this season.

So Katelyn Faber decided not to go back to College. Interesting.....think maybe she has decided with all the money she is hoping to get she doesn't need college? Or perhaps she's afraid of the "publicity?" Either way this doesn't seem like a woman who makes very good life decisions (suicide attempts, going up to a guys room, quitting school).

The penalty doesn't fit the crime. In this story, it is relayed that only nine states have laws banning leaving kids alone in a vehicle. Check out the fine in CA. Not nearly enough!

Apparently a major power outage hit the east coast today. It affected NY, OH, Toronto, Ottowa, Michigan and many other areas. Allthough the story says they don't beleive terrorism is suspected, I bet the feelings of 9/11 came rushing back to those New Yorkers. Things like this remind us why it is so important to be patient in those lines at the airport. Understand the pressure these people are under. A mistake by them can cost lives. Understand that a flight is going to be a long experience now and not just a "quick trip" to the airport.

The whole Ted Williams story is a sad one. The latest development is his son is behind on payments and if he doesn't pay up, they are going to de-ice him. What a shame. Ted Williams name has become a farce and I for one am dissapointed. the "Splendid Splinter" would be turning over in his grave, if only he could be put in one so he can rest in peace.

So Espn now has a web site devoted entirely to sports video games! Do we really need this? A Web site to tell us which sports games are good? I know this gaming industry is becoming huge, but seriously folks...if you have to visit a web site to chat about video games you need to get a life!

Ok, so now I'm starting to believe the "Tiger Woods isn't as dominant as he used to be" talk. Yes, he has won some tournaments this year, but it was just two short years ago when he used to dominate guys. Now he struggles to be in contention every week. It seems like two years ago Tiger would be two or three shots behind going into the last day & you knew he was going to win. Now, he is 5 or 6 shots behind and he only comes close. He gets back into contention, but comes up short. After one day he is 8 shots behind the leader at the last major of the year. Luckily for him the leader is Phil Mickelson so he still has a shot.

Now this is a truely inspiring story about a man who strives to reach perfection!

Nice little write up about the company I work for: Allied Telesyn. In the four years I have worked here, the product line & sophistication has grown ten-fold.

My sister keeps bugging me to write something about Arnie's entry into the California Governor's race. I really don't have a lot to say about it except that, as a republicn, I think it is a mistake. I'm sure Arnold has some great views towards politics, but that doesn't make him a politician. Can't wait to see what happens the first time one of his ideas get shot down in the House or the Senate. In reality I think this whole thing gives California a bad name and has made it kind of a joke. I mean, look at who's running! An action/adventure film star, a washed up child actor, a porn queen, a guy who invented Hustler magazine. Come on....this has become the butt of many jokes around the nation. I have voted republican in every election since I turned 18, but because I believe in the election process, I would vote not to recall Gov. Davis. He has not done anything illegal or immoral (think Bill Clinton). I say you give him the term you elected him to serve and go from there.

On my buddy Robert Scoble's Blog, he has posted a picture of Hillary Clinton signing his Tablet PC when she was in the Seattle area this week.

Eric Gagne is "The Man!" This failed starter turned closer has saved 46 straight games without blowing one (unless you count the All-Star game). He tied a major league record last night by saving his third game in three nights. two-thirds through this season he has not blown a single save. Just pure bad luck would seem to dictate you'd blow at least one in that time (errors, broken bat singles, etc...). Not Gagne. He is, by far, the lone bright spot on a bad baseball team.

This next statement will upset a lot of people, but here is a good story about one of my personal favorites: Rush Limbaugh. Well, it's not really about Rush, it's actually about how Bloggers will never match the success Rush Limbaugh had in building an audience.

Today is the beginning of a long drawn out process in the Kobe case. His first court appearance. My question is, do we really think he can get a "jury of his peers" in a town of just over 3000 people who all know the alleged victim? I know the Kobe corner will ask to move the trial, but from everything I read this judge is a home-town judge and will do everything he can to keep it there. I'm not sure I like that too much. I'm probably just over the fence on Kobe's side as to whether I think he did it or not, but just the fact that I have an opinion from this far away makes it hard for me to beleive anyone can walk in that courtroom in Eagle County without a pre-determined opinion of what has happened.

Trouble just seems to follow some people. This time John Daly (the pro golfer) is in the news. Unlike in the past though, it is not for something he did. His wife has been indicted oon drug and money laundering charges. According to the story, Daly knew nothing of her drug dealings. It's a tough call...on one hand you think, how could he not know? But on the other hand, he is a professional golfer (pn the road all the time), they only married a couple years ago and when they merried they had only known each other 7 weeks. Could it be true he did not know?

OK, so my sister just got her DSL through SBC and she's allready getting lots of popup ads. I had here remove all the spyware on her computer, but they are still coming. And recommendations for popup stopper software? Experiences, etc...?

Has anyone used this new WiFi spray yet? It is supposed to make your connection speed a little faster. I was just wondering if it worked. I'm thinking of picking up a case!

Say it ain't so! A million gallons of Jim Beam went up in flames yesterday. I can think of better ways to get rid of this stuff than to light it up!

In talking about the Kobe Bryant issue, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says, "From a business perspective, it's great for the NBA. It's reality television, people love train-wreck television and you hate to admit it, but that is the truth, that's the reality today," So explain to me exactly how this is great for the NBA? Th eNBA just came off its worst TV ratings for a final in a long time, most arena's are no longer selling out, fans are growing skeptical of the NBA product. Our "dream team" didn't even medal (finish in the top 3) it's last time out & the player it looked to to lead it into the future as it's all-american superstar is on trial for rape. Is this good for the NBA? I think not. Mark Cuban is an idiot.

Ex-cons forced to live outdoors. Are we supposed to feel sorry for these people? I've got a solution.....don't commit a sexually based crime! Or any crime for that matter. In Washington state, the "financially strapped" government ok's $300,000 for "prison art." This is art that goes inside of prisons. Meanwhile all the offials cry about not having enough money to fund this program or that program. Prison should be a dump. A place you would NEVER want to go. Not a freakin' art museam.

This story shows how people are getting rid of their land line phones. I know I am just waiting to be able to get a cable modem to abondon mine. Me allready use Cell phones for all our long distance. Unfortunately, all I can get in my home right now is a DSL connection. Once that cable modem is installed, it's bye bye phone company!
